The NASCAR weather forecast has already been a huge storyline this weekend, and that will not change ahead of Sunday's All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway.

Wet weather forced NASCAR to set the starting grid for today's All-Star Open by owners points and pushed All-Star Race qualifying and the pit crew challenge from Friday night to Saturday morning.

In addition, the Craftsman Truck Series race will resume at 11:30 a.m. ET on Sunday after completing just 81 of 250 laps before rain forced a postponement.

So, let's go ahead and take a deeper dive into the updated NASCAR weather report for Sunday, including the chances that rain impacts the 2024 All-Star Race.

NASCAR Weather Forecast for All-Star Race

The NASCAR All-Star Race format makes Sunday's schedule quite unique.

The All-Star Open, which allows drivers not currently eligible for the main event to race their ways in, is scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m. ET, so we're not solely concerned about the scheduled 8 p.m. ET green flag for the All-Star Race itself.

Thankfully, the forecast has improved considerably since earlier in the week when rain looked very possible for Sunday afternoon.

The National Weather Service is now calling for just a 21% chance at 5 p.m. ET on Sunday, which then dips to 15% at 8 p.m. ET.

Unless this forecast shifts between now and Sunday's races, it appears that NASCAR is mostly in the clear when it comes to the weather at North Wilkesboro Speedway.

Live NASCAR odds show Denny Hamlin (+425) as the race favorite, followed by Kyle Larson (+700), Ryan Blaney (+750) and Joey Logano (+750).
